In my sports marketing class this semester, I had the pleasure of working with a group of students to develop and propose a marketing campaign and strategy for the El Paso Chihuahuas minor league baseball team!
We had the privilege of meeting and presenting our campaign: Margarita Mania, to two of the MiLB team’s executives, Cole Buck, Senior Account Executive of Corporate Partnerships and Judge Scott, Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships & Suite Services in-class. My team and I are grateful for them to travel to Birmingham and to take the time to hear our presentations and provide feedback.
We prepared for our presentation utilizing tools like Zoomph to help us better understand our distinctive target market. As a team, we analyzed El Paso’s community and demographics to achieve our campaign’s goals of increasing attendance and growing the team’s fanbase.
For this project I focused on merchandising and potential partnership to pursue to make the campaign happen. I also helped Abigail with the promotional advertisement and social media posts.
I could not have done this without my amazing teammates: Garrett Hauenstein, Noah Williams, Abigail Ellis, and Teddy Bullock. Each of them brought amazing ideas to the table and collaborated well together! Thank you to Darin W. White, our professor, for connecting us with the El Paso Chihuahuas, preparing us well, and for supporting us throughout the past month as we developed “Margarita Mania”!
